Each of our devices is developed with the aim of making it as robust as possible so that it functions reliably and safely even under the most difficult operating conditions. Should you nevertheless find a fault, its cause can be quickly pinpointed using the diagnostic measures below. The measures listed here refer to sensors that have already been operating reliable for more than 3 months. If, on the other hand, your problems occurred during commissioning, please click here.
Dirt particles (e.g. dust, fluff, soot, pollen, rust particles, grease, lime deposits, but also additives such as lubricants or similar) in the air flow can cause deposits on the sensor elements that can impair and change the response behaviour. Therefore, we recommend cleaning the sensor as the first step in case of a deterioration of the response behaviour.
In the first step, check whether there has been an interruption in the power supply, i.e. the green LED does not light up when the mains voltage is connected. In this course, also check whether the correct voltage has been applied.
Verläuft dieser Test positiv, empfehlen wir den Sensor auszubauen und von der Netzspannung zu trennen, um die einzelnen Komponenten auf Ihre Funktion zu prüfen sowie zu reinigen.
Our sensors are designed for use in fresh water with a glycol content of up to 30%*. With a higher glycol content, the heat generated by the sensor is no longer dissipated and thus leads to a falsification of the measurement result. A similar error can also occur due to contamination (e.g. lime deposits, lubricants, etc.) in the water. If this happens to you, remove the sensor and clean it with soapy water and, if applicable, reduce the glycol content in your system to below 30%.
*If you have used the sensor in the past without any problems despite a glycol content of more than 30%, it is possible that the changed response behaviour is due to a change of the glycol type, as depending on the type, use with a glycol content of more than 30% is also possible.
