The RLSW®8 volumetric flow meter was developed for the reliable measurement and monitoring of gas flows in demanding environments. Available as a compact device (evaluation unit and sensor permanently connected to each other) or with a remote sensor (2.5 m cable between evaluation unit and sensor), this measuring device is ideal for use in process control systems in various industries as well as in ventilation and air conditioning technology.

The RLSW®8 is based on the calorimetric measuring principle to accurately record and evaluate the flow of the medium. The device impresses with its simple and intuitive handling as well as a direct measured value display both on the integrated LCD display and by means of an LED light strip, which enables quick and uncomplicated reading of the measured values even from a distance. Both a switch and a linear output signal (4-20 mA and 0-10 V) are available to the user as output signals.

Manufactured for robust industrial use, the RLSW®8 has a solid construction and electronics that work reliably in an operating temperature range of -25 to 80°C. The device is also optionally available for Measurement in environments up to 350°C available. The RLSW®8 covers a flow measurement range of up to 30 m/s as standard, although measurement up to 200 m/s is also possible on request. As a user, you have the option of making a number of different settings directly on the device. These include the displayed unit (m/s, l/s, m³/h, the maximum measuring range (for calibrating the 4-20 mA or 0-10 V signal), the pipe diameter for converting the flow velocity into a volume flow and other technical parameters.

Installation and commissioning of the measuring device are quick and easy thanks to the instructions supplied. The RLSW®8 can be integrated directly into pipes or ducts without extensive preparatory work. Thanks to the uncomplicated connection to control and regulation systems, it enables effective monitoring of flow rates.
